How your call travels
PeersCall meetings use WebRTC. Audio, video and screen shares normally flow directly between participants' devices. They do not pass through PeersCall servers.
When a network blocks direct connections, media may be relayed through a PeersCall TURN server. Relayed media stays encrypted (DTLS-SRTP). The relay forwards encrypted packets and cannot decode them.
What we don't do
- We don't record meetings.
- We don't store audio, video or screen content.
- We don't process video with AI.
What we store
- Account details: name, email, password hash.
- Meeting metadata: title, code, times, participant display names.
- Technical diagnostics: connection type (direct or relayed) and browser type. We use these to keep calls reliable.
In-meeting chat is delivered live and is not stored by default.
Future AI features
Planned AI features will be opt-in, work on audio transcripts only, and be clearly indicated to everyone in the meeting.
