Direct connections
In a PeersCall meeting each browser connects directly to the others (a WebRTC mesh). Your devices do the encoding, so calls start fast and our servers stay out of the media path.
Relay only when needed
Some networks block direct connections. Then, and only then, traffic is relayed through an encrypted TURN server so the call still works.
Bandwidth-friendly defaults
Video starts at 480p and adapts to your connection. Audio uses Opus tuned for voice.
